President Andrea Sullivan called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm.
The MCFDW Executive Board and members send their condolences to Daria Venezia on
the passing of her mother.
Guest speaker, Gail Lalla, newly elected President of the Middlesex County Young
Democrats spoke about collaborating with MCFDW on events, information the Biden
Campaign and Congressional Leadership. The Young Dems are very involved in Get Out
the Vote, voting issues. They would like to work with us in all aspects of voter registration, the 2020 Census, and the Black Lives Matter Movement. Gail’s information is gail.lalla@gmail.com. Please feel free to reach out to her with questions or comments.
President Sullivan stated Swing by the Barn inside the barn may not be a practical setting this year due to Covid restrictions. Therefore we are looking into having a Swing by the Park event instead. A possible venue for this might be Roosevelt Park in the Plays in the Park area. There is ample parking and a stage area for speakers.
Treasurer Erin Jo Zirpolo reported a balance of $6,272 from dues/sponsors.
Lauren Miceli is our new Social Media chair. Andrea called on all participants to see
how their towns are doing coping with the Covid restrictions.
Senator Linda Greenstein reported the Senate has been very busy with zoom meetings
and budget hearings.
Marion Costanza spoke to the membership on supporting Andrea to be confirmed a
Judge.
Daria Venezia made a motion to adjourn, Daria Ludas seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 8:14 pm. The next meeting will be in August via Zoom.
