Leslie Koppel

County Commissioner
Middlesex County

How would you describe your candidacy and vision for the future?

As Chair of the Middlesex County Finance Committee, I've spent my time in office making sure our county's budget works for the people who live here funding the services families rely on while keeping taxes as low as possible. I've led the development and oversight of the County's Operating and Capital Budgets, helping maintain our AAA bond rating, add more than $30 million to our surplus fund, and pay down over $100 million in debt. I'm running for re-election because that work isn't finished. I want to keep Middlesex County on solid financial footing so we can continue investing in our roads, our parks, and our communities without putting the burden on
taxpayers.

What do you want people to know about you?

I believe public service means using the resources people entrust to us wisely and planning for the future. As Chair of the Finance Committee, I work to keep Middlesex County financially stable while ensuring residents have access to the programs and services they depend on.

For me, a budget is more than numbers on a page. It reflects our priorities: invest in infrastructure, support our communities, deliver essential services, and prepare Middlesex County for the next generation. That is how we build thriving communities and support families. I take that responsibility seriously, and I bring that same commitment to every decision I make as a County Commissioner.
