Dana Winston

Council

East Brunswick

How would you describe your candidacy and vision for the future?

As an East Brunswick councilwoman, I have worked to make local government more responsive, inclusive, and connected to the people it serves. I bring a practical, compassionate approach to leadership—listening carefully, solving problems, and advocating for families, responsible redevelopment, strong public services, and opportunities for every resident to thrive. My vision is a community where government is transparent, diverse voices are welcomed, and public service remains focused on improving people’s everyday lives.

What do you want people to know about you?

I lead with both heart and determination. I am a mother, artist, small-business owner, disability advocate, and public servant who understands that the decisions made in government affect real families and their everyday lives. I believe leadership begins with listening, showing up, and treating every person with dignity. My commitment to service comes from a genuine love for my hometown and a belief that women’s voices, experiences, and compassion make government stronger.
For me, a budget is more than numbers on a page. It reflects our priorities: invest in infrastructure, support our communities, deliver essential services, and prepare Middlesex County for the next generation. That is how we build thriving communities and support families. I take that responsibility seriously, and I bring that same commitment to every decision I make as a County Commissioner.
